Know before you Go
QR Redemption and Wristband Pickup
The main point of entry for ARC World and its events is the Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre on the Toronto Metropolitan University campus.

The ENTRY booth is where you will have your QR ticket scanned and receive a wristband.
Entry into ARC World is for wristband/credentialed attendees only. There will be wristband checks for entry at the entrance to ARC Eats, ARC Talks, ARC Market, ARC Next, ARC Hoops.
Entry to ARC Eats is on the 2nd Floor of the SLC. Upon entry to the SLC take the staircase up to the 2nd floor for the queue for entry. Entry is only permitted between 10:30AM-6:00PM
Entry to ARC Talks is on the 6th Floor of the SLC accessible via elevators or stairs. Entry is only permitted according to the schedule between 10:30AM-6:00PM. Space is limited and entry is first come first serve. Please refer to on-site instructions, and the website for instructions on when you can start lining up for a panel. Once at capacity, entry to the floor will be denied and attendees must exit the floor.
Entry to ARC Market is on the 8th Floor of the SLC accessible via elevators or stairs. Entry is only permitted between 10:30AM-6:00PM. Once at capacity, entry to the floor will be denied and attendees must exit the floor or wait in designated queue areas.
Entry to ARC Next requires walking through the SLC 2nd floor, following signage for the Kerr Hall Gym (ARC Next and Hoops). Entry is only through the SLC, and ticketing will be checked upon arriving at the Kerr Hall Gym hallway doors. Doors will open at 11:15AM for ARC Next.
Entry to ARC Hoops
Entry requires redeeming your QR ticket for a wristband at the front of the SLC. To enter the event, requires walking through the SLC 2nd floor, following signage for the Kerr Hall Gym (ARC Next and Hoops). Entry should primarily be through the SLC, and ticketing will be checked upon arriving at the Kerr Hall Gym hallway doors. Doors will open at 6:00PM for ARC Hoops. For those arriving after 7PM tipoff for ARC Hoops, please go to the Kerr Hall Gym directly, where you will either have to show a wristband or have your unredeemed QR code ticket in order to scan and redeem for a wristband. Please note upon exiting the ARC Hoops game, attendees will be directed to exit outside through the TMU quad. Please refer to this video.

Accessible seating is available on the main level
Designated accessibility seating areas will be marked and prioritized for those needing accessibility seating. Please note space on the gym floor is limited, and accessibility seats are limited.

It is illegal and against Ontario liquor laws for minors (under age 19, in Ontario) to possess, sell, procure, or consume alcohol.
Ontario's Liquor Licence and Control Act prohibits the possession and consumption of alcohol in public places that are not licensed or designated for alcohol use.
Consuming alcoholic beverages in a common area on University property that is not licensed* is prohibited.
Having open alcohol in hallways, common lounges, or stairwells on University property is also prohibited.
A person may not enter the building in an intoxicated state.
ntoxication in a public place is a criminal offence.
Any person found on the property in an intoxicated state will be removed from the premises.

Animals or pets are not permitted at ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym), with the exception of service animals for fans with disabilities. A service animal is defined as any animal that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, and can be identified as such. Fans entering our venue with a service animal will be required to provide documentation upon request. Please notify Asian Roots Collective (info@asianrootscollective) at the time of purchase if an additional seat is required for your service animal.

ARC is committed to providing courteous and professional service. Everyone should expect and help to promote an environment where people are treated in a courteous, professional, considerate and respectful manner by all fans, venue staff, team and event personnel, performers, players and other guests.
We strive to provide its guests with a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable atmosphere. In order to achieve this, it is the responsibility of each guest to act in an appropriate manner.
Reasons for expulsion from the building can include, but are not limited to:
Interfering with other guests’ ability to enjoy the event .
Use of foul or abusive language, or gestures.
Intoxication
Accordingly, ARC will not tolerate unsafe, abusive, unlawful or offensive conduct in our venue/event.

To protect our fans, event personnel and participants a restricted bag policy is in place at ARC World only for the Kerr Hall Gym for event including but not limited to ARC Next and ARC Hoops.
Bags are permitted and are subject to being searched. Luggage, duffle bags, are not permitted as they will not fit, and all bags are subject to discretion of ARC and Venue Security staff.
Entry will be permitted subject to contacting ARC/Event Personnel for security inspection, including inspection of the bag and contents

Posters and signs must not exceed 11” x 17” in size (standard legal paper). Posters and signs must not hinder, distract, or interfere with the view of other fans and must not be obscene or in poor taste. Commercial, political, or negative messages are not permitted. They must not cover or distract from permanent signage or block ARC cameras. Fans are not permitted to use or wave banners, signs or other items that are affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic or any other hard material. In keeping with our Code of Conduct, and our goal to promote an environment that is considerate and respectful to everyone, ARC reserves the right to remove any banner/sign deemed inappropriate or used in an unacceptable manner.

Camera flashes may not be used at any time during the event by an attendee. Cameras with detachable lenses are strictly prohibited. Video cameras, and Selfie Sticks are not permitted. No professional cameras (75 mms or greater), or audio recording devices are permitted inside the building. This is subject to change on an event-by-event basis. ARC and TMU are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) has a strict no smoking policy. As with cigarettes, cannabis can be brought into the building, but is not to be consumed or used inside our venue at any time. Smoking of any kind will result in ejection from the facility. In/out privileges will be granted if proper medical documentation is presented to security for personal consumption ONLY. Please note that if you are in possession of cannabis for recreational use, edibles will not be granted entry into our venue and it cannot be used at any time while in our facility.

ARC World General Admission (No Hoops)
Children (ages 3-12): $8.88
Children (2 and under): FreeFor ARC Next: Children 24 months and under may enter without a ticket but must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.
ARC World Premium-All Access (Hoops Included)
For ARC Hoops: Children 24 months and under may enter without a ticket but must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. All children over 24 months MUST have their own valid ticket.

ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) does not offer a coat check service. Please note that ARC and TMU are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

There are currently no COVID-19 vaccination requirements for fans within ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym).

Doors will open at 11:15AM for entry into ARC Next, and 6:00PM for entry into ARC Hoops.
Please check the event detail page to confirm. Security measures will be conducted at the ticket gate, please allow yourself extra time for getting through our gates.

We strongly recommend that you obtain your tickets for the events from the designated Zeffy Ticket Portal. We are unable to guarantee the validity of tickets purchased from third-party sources. We cannot honour counterfeit/invalid tickets. Any fan who, knowingly or unknowingly, gains entry using invalid tickets will be subject to ejection without compensation.

The building is completely wheelchair accessible. Within the TMU SLC, four elevators are available for use inside the venue and all washroom facilities are wheelchair accessible. In addition, washrooms are located on all levels. Drinking fountains are located throughout ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) and are all wheelchair accessible.

By using a ticket to enter the ARC World venue, the ticket holder agrees to being photographed, filmed, or recorded in the event venue, and to the publication, reproduction, sales use, distribution, and broadcast of all photographs, video, or other recordings of the ticket holder's voice or likeness without further notice or compensation in any publicity, advertisement, or other publication carried out by, or on behalf of, ARC in perpetuity in any manner and media whatsoever, including print, broadcast, or digital.
By using a ticket to attend Festival screenings and events, the user waives and releases ARC from all claims he/she/they may have against ARC for any loss, damage, injury, liability, or expense he/she/theymay suffer, arising from his/her/their presence at the event venue due to any reason whatsoever, including those arising from personal injury, property loss/damage, or death.

Food can be consumed anywhere in the SLC during the event hours.
There is a strict no food policy except bottled water permitted into the ARC Hoops gym main floor. Food and drinks other than water can only be consumed upstairs in the balcony section.
Food purchased at the ARC Eats or ARC Market may be brought into the upper balcony section only for ARC Next and ARC Hoops.

If you notice a spill or other housekeeping concerns please contact an ARC or TMU event staff member.

There is zero tolerance for laser pointers at the event. If a fan is caught using a laser pointer, batteries will be confiscated. Repeat offenders will be subject to ejection from the event.

Media Access to ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) will be at a designated area before ticketing. Please look for the PRIORITY booth at the entrance of the SLC. Media access is ONLY available to pre-approved individuals. There are no walk-in media requests. An ARC media representative will provide details for credential pickup and check-in area.

There is no designated event parking. Parking is available on the street, nearby parking lots, as well as nearby Green P spots.
Public transportation is encouraged and advised as there may be limited parking close to the venue. Fans may take the Yonge/University subway line to Dundas station, which is within easy walking distance to ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym). Fans from outlying areas of Metro Toronto can take the GO Transit to Union and then the TTC Subway line afterwards.

For safety reasons, fans are refused entry if they are in possession of prohibited items. Illegal items will be turned over to Toronto Police. If a fan is found in the facility with prohibited items, the items will be confiscated and in some cases, the fan may be ejected from the building.

aerosol cans
weapons (including pocket knives)
fireworks* (Fireworks, firearms or weapons of any kind are not permitted inside the ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) at any time.)
skateboards
rollerblades
roller-skates
alcohol
illegal drugs or noxious substances
cameras, sound and/or video recording devices as per event restrictions (see also Cameras, Video Cameras, Audio Recorders)
helium balloons
stolen tickets.
oversized bags, luggage
confetti
air horns, megaphones and other forms of amplified sound devices
* Please note that pocket knives will not be returned should these be confiscated by TMU event security

ARC World and its banner events permit Re-entry via event wristbands, you may be asked to show your digital QR code ticket and/or receipt if requested.

Qualified designated security personnel are required to perform wand searches of all patrons entering the Kerr Hall Gym building during ARC Hoops. Additionally, some events may involve pat-down searches that will only be performed by qualified designated security personnel. Fans that refuse to submit to either a wand, visual or pat-down search shall be refused entry and may not be eligible for a refund on their ticket purchase.
Bags are permitted and are subject to being searched. Luggage, duffle bags, are not permitted and all bags are subject to discretion of ARC and Venue Security staff.
Entry will be permitted subject to contacting ARC/Event Personnel for security inspection, including inspection of the bag and contents.

ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) a smoke-free building*, including all areas, suites and lounges of the facility. ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) and the CCYAA are committed to the health and safety of our event personnel, volunteers, our fans and everyone visiting our premises.
As per City of Toronto By-Law, smoking and vaping is not permitted inside ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym). Smokers must also keep a distance of 29.5 ft away from any entrances of the building as stated under the City of Toronto By-Law
Please note: anyone found smoking inside ARC World (TMU Student Learning Centre and Kerr Hall Gym) will be immediately ejected from the arena and subject to the maximum fines as per Ontario's Smoke-Free Act.
* This also includes the use of electronic cigarettes

During the event, there may be instances where fans may stand, such as during a performance, or during basketball game play. On those occasions, fans who are standing are asked to continue being respectful to others around them and to only stand immediately in front of their designated seat. Standing on seats or any other building structure is not permitted. Those who choose to do so will be subject to ejection without a refund.

Strollers and wagons are not prohibited but we strongly encourage attendees to not bring them. There is no staff attended area to store strollers and wagons. Event venue staff, ARC, and all its affiliates are not responsible for any losses/damage. Strollers and wagons should not impede the flow of traffic, walkways, or enjoyment and participation of other attendees - ARC and venue staff reserve the right

Each person attending an event must produce a valid event ticket, pass or authorized credential for that event or game.
Paperless Tickets are sold through the event’s ticketing site directly (Zeffy). A person purchasing Paperless Tickets is given a confirmation of their purchase. They will then have to present the QR code card on their mobile phone for wristband pickup and entry the day of the event.
Please ensure you are able to open it on your mobile device.
Please contact ARC regarding inquiries regarding accessibility seats. A ticket holder may be denied entry to or removed from an accessible seating area if they or the legitimate companion does not have a disability. If this occurs, ARC and TMU shall have no obligation to provide alternate seating.
